I've dreamed of teaching overseas. I've dreamed of traveling to China. I never imagined that it would all come together this summer.
I have my visa application filled out and ready to turn in; I'm learning more about the places we will visit (Beijing, Linfen and Xian), learning more about the logistics of the trip (flying to Beijing, overnight train to Linfen, busses after that), getting excited to work with the Chinese teachers and students and just imagining all I will experience in China.
Traveling to Japan as part of the Fulbright Memorial Teacher Fund Program impacted me in so many ways. I know that living, working and traveling in China for four weeks this summer will continue to help me to see the world as a smaller place.
